Farmers Market at The Grove

The Grove Farmers Market

The Grove has what is known as the “Original Farmers Market”, located on the corner of Third and Fairfax.   This picking of fresh produce fun started in 1934 and continues to this day on the lot known as Gilmore Island.  This lot is named after Arthur Fremont Gilmore, an entrepreneur in his own right.  He purchased large acres of land in Los Angeles, and after the split with his business partner, he started his own dairy farm and later on, an oil refinery once he hit oil while herding the cows.  In addition to fresh produce, there are also restaurants, live music, and a variety of shops for your enjoyment.  Check out for more information!
